Nominations are being accepted for the 2019 Lebanon Citizen of the Year Award. This award was established by the Lebanon Bicentennial Commission and was first presented in 1974. The award is presented to an individual of good character who has made significant volunteer contributions to the community; this may include time volunteered to clubs, organizations, churches and hospitals.

Submissions will be accepted until Monday, May 13, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. and may be mailed or delivered by hand in a sealed envelope clearly marked “2019 Citizen of the Year Nomination” to the Lebanon Town Hall, Office of The First Selectman, 579 Exeter Road, Lebanon, CT 06249. Original signatures are required on the nomination forms or letters. Email submissions will not be accepted.
The Lebanon Citizen of the Year will be chosen by ballot by the Town's past recipients of the award. The name of the 2019 recipient of the award will be announced during the ceremonies following the Memorial Day Parade on May 25, 2019 at the Lebanon Town Hall. In the event of inclement weather and the parade is canceled, the ceremony will be held at the Lyman Memorial High School gymnasium beginning at 10:00 AM. There is no rain date.
