Co-sponsored by the Lebanon Conservation and Agriculture Commission, this film is a fascinating hour of local history. Some current and past Lebanon residents are featured. The documentary delves into the stories of the Jewish refugees who came to the region and became farmers, helped by the wealthy Baron Maurice de Hirsch in the late 1800s and then by the various funds and societies that were his legacy. The filmmakers interviewed some of those farmers and their descendants. Free and open to all. Light refreshments served.
