Join us for an entertainingly informative evening with Velya Jancz-Urban that will make you both laugh and wince as you consider what life was really like for New England’s colonial women. The presentation is not about quilting bees and spinning wheels; it covers some of the grittier things in life such as housework, childbirth, sickness, medicine, birth control, etc. Velya lives in a 1770s farmhouse in Woodbury, CT and has spoken at many libraries and historical societies. Her presentation grew from the research she did for her novel Acquiescence.
